Jealous?

It's a tough life, but somebody's got to live it.
Am sunning myself in Thailand at the moment, because I need at least a week of doing nothing on a beach to recuperate from my gruelling eight months of, well, doing nothing.

Aaah, the beautiful beach of the somewhat secluded Ranti Bay. It would have been perfect, had this photo of sunshine and sand not been taken as I was leaving after three days of miserable weather. Enlarge »
My flight home is tomorrow (tomorrow!) and I'm still not sure how I'm going to handle the return. Be gentle when you see me, I'm sure to be fragile, and don't take offense if I start haggling with you over coffee; old habits die hard.

See you all soon.

Ally

PS: I found the email below sitting in a text document on the internet cafe computer I'm using. If you want to know the kinds of people I try to avoid in Thailand, read on. English teachers be warned though, you may cry while reading this.

well, your loving brother here. Where do I start? hope your staying strong and keeping the head up!!

our first night in bankok we got screwed by one of the touts at the airport and ended up staying in hotel that was double the price of what it should have been. But sure fuck it!! we went for a few drinks in one of the local bars and the infamous bar girls were swarming, they are absolutely stinking!!!! had to keep the head down and avoid eye contact incase they came over. we only stayed for 2 drinks and then went back to the hotel, we were saying this place is fucking mad, rats on the streets and the foulest smell of rubbish was everywhere(what were we doing here??)!!! so we moved hotels the next day and came to place called the kohsan road. Its common as muck, with stalls everwhere and is full of tourists but best of all it has a burger king and mcdonalds(exactly what i was looking for, was not going to eat cat or dog). we went out that night and decided to head to a ping pong show, the show itself was fairly dung but the highlight of the night was when one the young ladies who were firing bit of banana out of herself hit cormac in the face, it was very funny, fucking clean banana!!! That was pritty much it in bangkok, we had heard about the full moon parties that happen on kophangan(island south of thailand), supposed to be the biggest in the world, so we headed down ther for a couple of days.

The night we got there we just got rotten and it was pritty much the same for the next couple of nights, drink all night and lie in bed till about six then go for something to eat and out again that night. The full moon party was good, you can buy buckets at them, they have a selection, each with different mixtures in them, i was drinking a naggin of vodka with redbull and coke through about 5 straws, every body got messy and ended up loosing each other, but not a bad night, there was about 15,000 people on the beach and some fire twirlers there.

After kophangan we head to another island called koh tao. we decided to do the open water course. You have a test at the end and you get to dive to 18 metres. well i was fine doing the diving, no problem with the 18metres but when they asked you to take out your mouth piece and fuck it over your shoulder and take off your mask at 6 metres i was like fuck this!!!! so i only am qualified to dive to 12 metres, its fucking deep enough!!!

went on the sauce on our last night in koh tao, the usual, got rotten, our scuba instructer was fairly hot, she is american and about 26, we were playing card drinking games, messy,we might be meeting her in bangkok. myself and finn landed in bangkok yesterday, there is nothing to do on the islands if the weather is dung and it was dung, you talk about rain storms, its wet season over here. Not a bad day in bangkok today though.
